Celebrations marking the Central Provincial Day in Port Moresby over the weekend was marred with complaints of pick pocketers, drug and alcohol abuse and fights.
Reports on social media reveal traditional dancers and spectators being harassed and robbed of their belongings, including mobile phones, cameras and even money.
But Central Provincial Police Commander Laimo Asi, says police have yet to receive any formal complaints relating to the offences.
