The PNG Teachers Associations Union has been called to push for the matter of teachers not receiving any leave entitlements in Gulf province and other provinces.Teachers Service Commission Chairman Baron Sori has urged the PNGTA union to pursue this matter.
Sori made this statement while commenting on the issue of Gulf teachers who have not received any leave entitlements from last year up till now.
Meanwhile, Sori says that TSC have received reports from the Department of Finance that the teachers leave entitlements were sent to the provincial accounts.
However, teachers in Gulf have not received any funds and he is calling on the provincial administrator and the provincial treasurer to clarify why this is taking so long.
At the moment teachers from other centres teaching in Gulf province are still stuck in the province. PNGFM/ ONEPNG
